About MERAKI HRWe design how your organization actually works.
A small, senior HR practice — built to work with real teams.
MERAKI HR is a small, experienced HR practice. We partner directly with founders, owners, and the people running the day-to-day — from early teams to companies of 250+ people, across Romania and the wider European market.
The word meraki describes doing something with soul, creativity, and care — leaving a piece of yourself in the work. That's the bar we hold ourselves to.
How we think about the work.
Structure over slogans
Frameworks that survive contact with reality. No values posters.
Specific over generic
Designed for your business model, stage, and constraints — not your industry's.
Continuity over heroics
The system has to hold when the founder or manager steps out of the room.
Ethical. Direct. Practical.
Our approach is built on principles that don't compromise. Good organizations are built on honesty — not harmony at any cost — on systems that serve both business performance and human dignity, and on the courage to address hard situations before they become disasters.
We protect the business and the people in it. These goals aren't opposed — they're interdependent. Process serves people, not the other way around.
Truth over comfort
We say what you need to hear, not what's comfortable. Sugar-coating doesn't solve problems.
Dual protection
We safeguard the business and the humans in it. Both, always.
Sustainable performance
We choose lasting systems over quick fixes. Band-aids don't heal structural issues.
Usable systems
Policies you actually use, not perfect documents that gather dust.
Human before bureaucratic
Process serves people. Dignity is the baseline, not a deliverable.
Capability, not dependency
We hand you the system and step back. We're not built to live in your org chart.

Working with Steluța was one of the most inspirational experiences for me. She stands by her principles and brings more value to any project she involves herself in. Ambition, fairness, dedication, passion, hard work, and always being ready to help those in need are just some of the qualities that define her. Knowing Steluța and seeing how she does her job makes me strongly recommend Meraki HR.
It is my pleasure to recommend Steluța, as I have known and worked with her for many years. Steluța has constantly impressed me with her result driven, focused, restless attitude. She is going above and beyond whenever handling a project, showing total devotion. Integrity, ethics, principles are just few of the values that define Steluța. Knowing her and her work ethic gives me full confidence in recommending Meraki HR.
Steluța-Elena Mihai — Founder of MERAKI HR and LIMEN. More than thirteen years inside human resources — from operator to strategist — across international companies and fast-moving entrepreneurial teams.
Two master's degrees (business management; labor law), plus certifications in strategic HR, communication, leadership, sport psychology for athlete development, coaching and NLPt. The labor-law background matters most here: it lets us work across the EU with confidence — not just Romania.
Most of the work is with entrepreneurs and small-to-mid business owners — how to recruit, manage, evaluate, and retain people, and how to design a healthy work environment and company policies that hold up under pressure and legal scrutiny.
The Digital Lab inside MERAKI extends the practice into software: Prism ClearPay for pay transparency, and LIMEN for the reflective decisions — relationships, life choices — that don't fit on a spreadsheet.
